Thanks Margie. I'm glad Redland Organics will be at the Pinecrest Market again this year. Of the ones I've visited near where I live, that was the best. See you Dec. 6!

PS: I've updated the end time of the market to 2 p.m. The market company had told me 4.

Farmers willing to go to market are hard to find around here. We have been at the Pinecrest market for 8 years now. Our Redland Organics booth has ONLY produce grown in SOUTH FLORIDA, and ONLY organic or pesticide-free produce. It is all from either our own farm or our Redland Organic partner farms. Our booth is a REAL farmer's booth, and we (Farmer Margie and our farm crew) are there to help you choose your veggies and herbs, so come check us out!
The market starts Dec 6 and runs from 9-2 on Sundays.

I supported Upper Eastside at the start, but good grief I think it ended up being the folks you normally find at intersections selling bottled water. Not local farm bounty by far. Heirloom tomatoes from Canada for an arm and a leg? Naahh...

Thanks, Frod. I kept the year-round markets like Lincoln and Normandy out of this list but perhaps I should update to include those and others like Glaser as well. Never been to Josh's but I've heard good things.

Rutabaga - I know there aren't many real farmers markets around here but there are farmers. I'm not exactly sure what the issues are but I think it's a combination of factors. I'm just always hopeful that at one or another I'll find something good.

As Frodnesor placed "farmers markets" in quotes, so will I. The "farmers markets" in South Florida are a joke. Jacked up prices abound. Could the Market Company be accused of price fixing? Why aren't there any real farmers markets here? No wonder the redlands is being paved over.

There are several "farmers markets" run by The Market Company that are not on this list - Lincoln Road, Normandy Circle, etc. Their full list is here. There's also Josh's Organic Garden up in Hollywood, not sure if that's still going or not (never been).
