Now open for the season: Knaus Berry Farm

knausberryfarmIt’s time for strawberry milkshakes and warm, fluffy cinnamon rolls: Knaus Berry Farm opened for the season yesterday.

For those of you who haven’t been there, Knaus Berry Farm sells the most delicious cinnamon rolls, fruit shakes and produce from mid-November through April. The farm is run by the Knaus family.

The drive down for warm rolls and fruit makes for a nice day trip. I took my parents down last year when they visited for Christmas and they loved it. If you go on Saturday, though, be prepared for long lines — especially at the shakes station. Just know that what you’ll get is well worth the wait.

Shakes worth the wait

Knaus Berry Farm is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

  1. I’m so there.

  2. Those cinnamon rolls are definately worth the wait. If you go there make sure you go with someone else so they can go to the milkshake line and you can go to the cinnamon roll line. Better yet, go with a group of 4. Two for each line to keep you company.

  3. We drove by there that day on the way to the Fruit and Spice Park but didn’t realize it was the first day they were open for the season. Unbelievable line!

I’ll summon up the stamina (and the sunscreen!) next time…

  4. the amish farm cinnamon buns are an annual mother-daughter bonding ritual… thanks for the reminder paula! sending this to her via email now!

  5. I’m taking my parents again this year when they come into town. It’s such a nice little treat to go there. Also, I didn’t know this until recently but they’re not Amish they’re Dunkers.
