Running with the bulls

You’ve probably seen it on TV or in pictures. The bull runners dressed in all white, red scarves around their necks, running away from with the bulls. It happens every summer during Las Fiestas de San Fermin in Pamplona. And starting tomorrow Por Fin is celebrating with two-for-one drinks, flamenco and $5 tapas. The celebration will carry on through Sunday, July 12 between 5:30 p.m. and closing (10 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday).

I don’t know why but this one sounds like fun. It got me craving sangria, buñuelos and those delicious huevos – though I have a feeling those won’t be among the $5 offerings.

Update: Check out this slideshow of San Fermin with captions from Ernest Hemingway’s The Sun also Rises (coincidentally found on Twitter after posting this).
