It’s been a slow week in my food world but the weekend is shaping up to be packed with food stuff. I’m gearing up for dinner tonight at Michael’s. Tickets have been bought for tomorrow’s premiere of Food, Inc. Go watch it! And over the weekend, I plan to attend the Redland Summer Fruit Festival at the Fruit and Spice Park.
The festival will be held on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will showcase local agriculture and tropical fruit. There will be food vendors and rare fruit samplings. Admission is $7. Children under 11 are free.
On Sunday, you can also participate in a lychee and longan workshop, where you’ll learn how to grow these fruit. The fee for the workshop, which will be held from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., is $25.

[...] sun was beating down hard today at the Redlands Summer Fruit Festival. D and I arrived at the Fruit & Spice Park in Homestead a little after noon to check it out. [...]
Thanks, Trina. I took it at the Slow Food Exotic Fruit brunch last year.
