Casa Toscana cooking classes, now weekly

Casa Toscana cooking class

I was happy to hear that Sandra Stefani from Casa Toscana will now be offering her cooking classes every Saturday instead of every other Saturday.

“I started to offer hands on cooking classes a couple of months ago thinking that not many people were going to come on their Saturday morning to get their hands sticky with pasta dough … was I wrong.”

This means more opportunities for me to go back since somehow all the classes following the first one I attended — where I learned to make fresh pasta — fell on weekends when I was out of town.

The classes are incredibly fun. In keeping with the homey, welcoming attitude of the restaurant, the classes are like being in a friend’s kitchen, learning and sharing stories as you go. And at the end, you’re rewarded with good food and wine in the company of all those who helped prepare the meal. Can’t wait to go back!

Classes are held on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and are limited to 10 students. $60 per person.

  1. I have taken 3 classes, and they are amazing! Be prepared to work….it is actually hands on, and be prepared to stay. The class is about 4 hours – but well worth it in the end when you sit in the diningroom, eat what you have prepared, and drink wines that Sandra specifically pairs with the meal……..with explanation. Sort of 2 classes in one!
