New year, slow start

slow.jpg

It’s so hard, to get back into the swing of things after almost two weeks of doing nothing but eating and vegging at my parents’ home in Houston. I’ve been slowly working myself up to full productivity levels, including getting back to blogging — and here I am.

Coming up, expect reports on a few restaurants and on my Redland Organics CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) trial. I was lucky to be able to get a four-week trial and can’t wait to see how I fare. First pick-up is on Saturday. In the meantime, check out this Critical Miami post and Miami Dish’s reports on CSA boxes.

Also, check out the recently launched Spangdish, which has a nice wrap-up each Thursday of the restaurant reviews in Miami’s main newspapers. Hope L2M keeps it up.

Happy 2008!

  1. I bought a half share from Redlands this year and I have just been loving it so far. I’ve tried all sorts of new greens and vegetables I hadn’t even heard of before and it’s forcing me to be a lot more creative with my cooking. I also bought an egg share and the eggs are wonderful. I love the raw honey as well. I highly recommend Redlands CSA.

  2. That’s great to know. I’ve heard a full share is A LOT but the trial isn’t available in half shares. Nevertheless, I’m really eager to get my veggie Pandora’s box tomorrow.
