Here it is, the Thanksgiving seafood gumbo. The delicious smell in the house was so concentrated that when we arrived at my friend’s house we could smell onions and spices from outside.
It was hearty and delicious, with tons of seafood. We ate it in a bowl, served over rice and added a dollop of potato salad into it as we were told Cajuns do. It actually goes well despite our skepticism.
We’re grateful to our friend who slaved away, stirring for hours to prevent the roux from burning.
