Of course,Thanksgiving always brings back memories of food and overeating. My mom's pies were the best. She had such a knack for rolling out pie dough and making it so tasty and so flaky. She used to make lemon meringue for my dad and coconut cream for my brother and me. She loved pumpkin pie, but no one would eat it so she never made it.

The best part of the meal was her stuffing. It was just plain bread stuffing with herbs and spices, but it was so good. It was my favorite leftover! Turkey was okay for the main meal and that was plenty for me, but oh that stuffing!!! I guess it was so tantalizing because she never made it any other time of the year.

One particular dish that my Dad and I love that my Mom always makes, even though she doesn't like it, is Brussel Sprouts!

I think they are so Yummy and more people should eat them!

One other side dish that she always makes for me that is one of my favorites is broccoli with cheese. I don't know what kind of cheese she uses and what spices but I love it!

Mom also makes sure there are cranberries for Dad even though the rest of the family says, yuck.

Thanks Mom for always taking care of me!
