Alice Waters, known for her Berkeley, California restaurant Chez Panisse and her passion for using organically grown, seasonal food will be at Books & Books in Coral Gables tonight to promote her new book The Art of Simple Food: Notes, Lessons, and Recipes from a Delicious Revolution. I recently bought the book and it’s a beautiful edition that teaches you the basics of food and cooking, from stocking your kitchen to selecting ingredients. It’s not often you get a chance to see Waters around these parts, so if food’s your thing, swing by Books & Books tonight. Event starts at 8 p.m.
Update: Leslie at Still Life With Food comments on Waters’ appearance. “We have a visionary,” she writes. “Now we need a plan.”
