Checking in from the Las Vegas airport. I’m tired. And not because I partied too hard, no. It’s because I was working, traveling (I hit four airports in one day), sleep deprived and congested. I think I’m allergic to Las Vegas or maybe it was just the smoky and ridiculously cold air at our hotel, where I spent the better part of my stay, that has me sniffling and sounding like Marge Simpson’s sister.
The good news is I dined at Thomas Keller’s Bouchon and Alain Ducasse’s Mix. Today at Trevi, an Italian restaurant at Caesar’s Palace, I had crisp and golden polenta fries and a wonderful frozen Bellini before heading to the airport. Despite it all, I made time and energy for food, which I will tell you about in the next few days. For now, I’m just eagerly awaiting getting on that plane and heading back home to Miami.

Glad you tried Mix. I love that place.
I think that if youre from SoFL and go to Vegas, you get dried out really easy. Every time I go there, I have trouble because its so dry. My eyes itch, nose is really dry and sometimes I get a bloody nose from it. Sucks, but when youre a gambler, its a small price to pay
I’ve been to Vegas twice and the weather always gets me. Glad to hear you’re coming back Poris, we miss you here!
Yes, I heard about getting dried out but I got it worse than everyone, throat aches, sneezing…
BM- Mix was a good recommendation. The view is amazing!
