La Estancia Argentina

laestancia.jpg

There’s something comforting about spending an evening with friends eating, drinking and talking about just about anything. Before an impromptu soiree at my friend’s house the other night, we stopped by La Estancia Argentina at Merrick Park to get the goods. It had been a while since I’d been to La Estancia, but it’s a great place to pick up wine and baked goods. We bought a bottle of Crios Rose Malbec and some empanadas. They have about eight different varieties so we ordered a few of each plus a box of chocolate-covered alfajores. The gourmet shop has a wide selection of foods. You can buy meat, cheese, wines, imported beers, sweets, pasta, baked goodies and more. It’s not expensive either. If you’re in the area, they sell prepared foods too — soups, sandwiches, steak, chicken and more. They also have locations in Aventura, Miramar and Kendall.
