Unfortunately there is no decent mexican food in Miami.. go to San Diego and try Tacos El Gordo :) .. my source is having lived in Miami for 5 years and trying nearly every sub-par mexican restaurant that pops up!

Amnuel - Aside from your house, do you have any suggestions of where we can get good tacos in Miami? I'd love any recommendations.

Eileen,

I'm from Mexico. I know tacos. I have a good job. I know money. I eat well. I know taste.
Therefore, I can tell you Orale is way below a good taco shop.
I don't need to open a taco shop. But if you want, next time you leave NJ and visit FL, come by and I will cook you a good barbacoa -just let me know in advance since it takes 10 hours to do so. Fish tacos, flor de calabaza quesadillas, hongos soup. You choose.
Meanwhile, don't spoil your mouth with Orale -or any other- tacos.

Hey Amnuel,
It seems that u r cheap and in some way why dont u open ur taco shop too? Common they're tacos are the best I live in NJ and I've been there twice to taste the tacos they are way delicious if u even come to NY OR NJ you will see what expensive really is. Here they charge you for sitting down. So dont say that they are expensive. They are DELICIOUS TACOS THE BEST IN THE WHOLE MIAMI. Anyways, my CONGRATS TO THE ORALE!!!

I visited today and didn't get to try the Suadero either. They must've been out. I tried the chicken tacos and barbacoa de borrego. I liked both. I thought the chicken was nicely seasoned and I loved their pico de gallo. My companions tried the carne de res and the quesadilla. Overall, I think they were satisfied.

The owners mentioned they've been there for three years and are planning on soon opening a bigger truck where they'll sell more than tacos.

Dont worry, Paula! I finally went today around noon. Scorching sun to taste tacos de la calle, but anyway -I was hungry. I did the line and, while waiting, I realized that all of us were the first time there. Anothe funny fact: eventhough all of us were mexicans, all of them but me didnt know about tacos... sad story indeed, but a few of them got confused, thinking that barbacoa was bbq, chicharron was dry-yet-greasy caribbean chicharron and some, asking their chicken tacos be made with chicken breast... c'mon, this is not KFC.
I tried most of them -they didnt have suadero- and I skipped carne asada and chicken since those you can find anywhere.
Chicharron were good, but the chunks were too large for a normal size tortilla -by they way, the tortillas are not handmade but the way they "fried" them on the hotpan, it was interesting to accept the sin of using plastic-bagged tortillas. The same happen with Lengua.
Carnitas were really bad as well as Pastor. They have a problem with pork -honestly, it is better if they cook it like cubans since their flavour and texture are similar to real carnitas. The pastor orangy-rub was totally a mess.
In the other hand, Barbacoa was also good but they dont have the right salsas there -way too much lemon and vinegar on each of them. So, i took three back home and i will re-cook the barbacoa and made me a nice guacamole.
I didnt try guacamole there since i find offensive to extra charge for that. It is an american scam to do so and I hate when mexican restaurants just follow that miserable biz trend.
Overall? Take it from a real mexican, not afraid to try street tacos: if you are in the area, go to Orale and give it a chance if you are hungry. But, if you live in the north -like me- it is better if you spend the time cooking all that by yourself and the results will be way better for your panza.

This is real Mexican food since, as good lazy Mexicans, I was there at 10am today (Saturday) and no Orale, no tacos, no Mexican breakfast for hungry me, a Mexican.
I will try tomorrow, but it seems beforehand that, being late, it would deliver Mexican attitude towards the cooking of those Tacos Orale.
