Attention chocolate lovers! Fairchild Tropical Garden is hosting the first Internaional Chocolate Festival this weekend and it sounds like pure decadence. Aside from lectures on chocolate and background on how the cocoa plant grows, you can sample different chocolates, visit the Chocolate House for hot chocolate and eat foods including Mexican mole and crepes. Yummmyyy! l found out about the event today and my plan was to go, but extraneous circumstances are taking me out of town. Hopefully some of you will visit and share your experiences.
Festival runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $20. Go here for full program.
Oh yes, and to kick off the festival, Fairchild will be showing Chocolat with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp on Friday at 7:30 PM.
