It does make a difference… Buying fresh produce. But it always takes a little bit of extra effort, whether it’s driving a little bit further than the grocery store or being limited to a specific day of the week to shop. But if you have options, the task may become a little easier. Today’s Miami Herald has a good list of South Florida’s farmers’ markets. Good news for me, the Herald reports a new market is set to open on Thursdays starting February 22 at Bayfront Park. The organizers say it would provide a service to downtown office workers. Let’s hope it lasts — apparently the last attempt to have a market at the park didn’t work out too well. If it does, though, it will definitely add “city feel” to downtown and make buying fresh produce a little more convenient — at least for some of us.
